Leon Naturally Fast Food is a book of two halves. The first half is ‘Fast Food’, which contains recipes that take a maximum of 20 minutes to prepare, ranging from a work-day breakfast and children’s meals to simple dinners and party food. The second half is ‘Slow Fast Food’, which contains things that can be made in advance when you have time, to enjoy when you don’t have time. Containing more than 200 recipes, there is plenty in both halves of this collection for both the experienced cook and the culinary adventurer in search of inspiration.

Only six months after the first branch opened, Leon was voted “Best New Restaurant” by such judges as Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal in the 2005 Observer Food Awards and there are now 11 Leon restaurants in London and the southeast of England.

The restaurant group, leon was founded on the twin principles that food can both taste good and do you good. In July 2004, when Henry Dimbleby, John Vincent and Allegra McEvedy opened their first outlet, on London’s Carnaby Street, their aim was to change the face of fast food. Only six months after the first branch opened, Leon was voted “Best New Restaurant” by such judges as Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal in the 2005 Observer Food Awards and there are now 11 Leon restaurants in London and the southeast of England.
