Make ink…

Jason Logan is an internationally recognized graphic designer, creative director, author, and artist. But despite working in a digital age, where technology continuously evolves and provides seemingly endless mediums for creative expression, Jason has rediscovered the beauty and depth in one of mankind’s oldest tools of communication: ink.

In 2014, rebelling against the mass-produced ink of our industrial age, Jason founded the Toronto Ink Company as a citizen science experiment to make eco-friendly, urban ink from street-harvested pigments. Through research and intensive trial and error, he has been able to refine his process and is now ready to share his passion and expertise with the world. Make Ink: A Forager’s Guide to Natural Inkmaking is a colour journey that redefines our everyday understanding of ink and teaches us to reclaim a lost urban wilderness.

We would love for you to take part in celebrating the launch of this illuminating guide.

The launch will include edible pigments by internationally renowned chef Jamie Kennedy, original ink art work for sale, and Type Book’s will have copies of MAKE INK available for purchase.

We look forward to seeing you there!
