The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Annapurna Television is set to produce the television adaptation of Maria Semple’s bestselling novel, TODAY WILL BE DIFFERENT, as a limited series. Academy Award winner Julia Roberts is attached to star and produce in the project with Semple on board to write the adaptation. 

“I’m giddy that Eleanor Flood will be brought to life by Julia Roberts and am elated to collaborate with Megan Ellison, Sue Naegle and the team at Annapurna on this endeavor. This will be a fun ride!" said Semple of the new project. Semple is also working with Annapurna Pictures on a film adaptation of her sophomore novel, WHERE’D YOU GO, BERNADETTE?, which is set to go into production in the New Year with Richard Linklater attached to direct.
